At Family First Advocacy, we help individuals and families navigate challenges, connect with resources, and feel supported through difficult seasons. Whether you need help understanding paperwork, applying for services, finding support, or advocating for yourself or a loved one, we are here to walk with you.
Need help understanding paperwork or next steps? We provide guidance with service applications, SSI/SSDI support, Medicaid waiver navigation, DSS/DMAS appeals, and other advocacy needs.
We offer supportive spaces and educational opportunities for parents, caregivers, young mothers, individuals with disabilities, and families seeking encouragement, connection, and practical tools.
We help connect families to community resources such as housing support, food assistance, transportation resources, mental health referrals, disability services, and other local programs.

This support group is for parents and caregivers of children with disabilities, including adult children with disabilities. It provides a safe space to share experiences, ask questions, gain encouragement, and connect with others who understand the unique joys and challenges of caregiving.

This group offers support for individuals and families facing mental health challenges. It is a space for honest conversation, encouragement, and connection while learning ways to manage stress, build resilience, and feel less alone in the journey.

This support group is designed for young mothers who need encouragement, connection, and community. It offers a welcoming space to talk about parenting, life challenges, personal growth, and finding support while building confidence in motherhood.

Our Basic Parenting Classes are offered in person once a month. These classes help parents and caregivers build confidence while learning practical parenting tools.
Topics may include communication, routines, discipline, boundaries, child development, positive parenting strategies, and creating a stable home environment.

This class is offered once a month, with options to attend in person or online. It is designed for parents and caregivers raising children with ADHD, behavioral challenges, emotional needs, anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns.
Topics may include understanding behaviors, supporting emotional needs, building routines, reducing stress at home, school support, and learning strategies to better support your child.

Our Parent Emotional Regulation class is offered in person once a month. This class helps parents and caregivers understand their own emotions, stress responses, and triggers so they can respond to family challenges in a calmer and healthier way.
Topics may include managing frustration, calming strategies, communication during conflict, caregiver stress, self-awareness, and co-regulation with children.
Parenting and family class details, including dates, times, location, and virtual options, will be shared after you complete the interest form.

Family First Advocacy helps individuals and families understand their options, organize paperwork, prepare for meetings, and advocate for needed services. We support families as they navigate systems that may feel confusing or overwhelming.

We provide guidance with service applications, benefit paperwork, and appeals, including SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, DMAS, DSS, and waiver-related needs. We help families understand notices, deadlines, documents, and next steps.

We help connect families to disability and mental health resources for children, adults, caregivers, and households needing extra support. This may include resource navigation, referrals, care needs, school support, and family wellness guidance.

We help families connect with community resources for housing, food, transportation, utilities, basic needs, family support, and other services. Our goal is to help families find the right resources and know where to start.
