Family First Advocacy is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to enhancing disability and mental health awareness, promoting individual empowerment, and advocating for increased access to essential services. Serving Hanover County, VA, and the greater Richmond area, we support children and adults living with disabilities and mental health disorders, as well as their families and caregivers.
Through direct services, personal advocacy, and community outreach, we work to ensure that every individual has the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. Our vision is to improve the quality of life for those facing these challenges by fostering emotional wellness, expanding access to care, and building a more inclusive and understanding community.

We provide social services assistance and advocacy, including support with SSI/SSDI and Medicaid waivers, and help individuals and families navigate complex systems to access the resources they need.
Our group sessions provide a safe, supportive space for individuals to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another while building coping skills, improving communication, and strengthening emotional well-being.
Our self-improvement classes empower individuals with the tools and support needed to build confidence, improve emotional well-being, and develop the life skills necessary to create lasting, meaningful change.
